Barney "Kuz" Cofer, who's surprisingly been one of the best pitchers in the CWL this season, came through again in this year's all-star game to help Team Blue to the all-star game win. "Kuz" relieved starter Brandan Cofer in the third inning and pitched his way to his first all-star game victory, and MVP award honors.

Not only was Cofer dealing from the hill, but was also doing his part with the stick, as well. Cofer went 2-4 in the game with two doubles and scored his club's lone run, which was enough to win this year's game. Cofer also robbed Josh Cartwright of what might have been a first-inning grand slam off Brandan Cofer.

Patrick Lowery took the loss for Team Red, but pitched pretty solid in his only two innings, allowing just one run. Fellow rookie Bryan Stafford took over for Lowery in the third and pitched two scoreless innings, striking out three hitters.

Brandan Cofer and Jake Catlett, pitching around Cofer, combined for three scoreless innings of their own. Jake Catlett drove home the only run in the game, a run-scoring single off Lowery in the second inning.

Score: Team Red (0) Team Blue (1)
