CWL 2008
2008 All-Star Saturday
The Basics
The CWL will hold its annual All-Star Saturday events at the conclusion of the 2008 CWL postseason on July 26, 2008. The event will start roughly around 2:00. Unlike previous seasons in which six total all-stars were selected, this season the CWL will choose eight total all-stars, four from each division. The all-stars will be voted upon at the appropriate time by the players in the CWL.

2008 All-Star Game
The eight all-stars will face off in a battle of leagues, American versus National, to see who reigns supreme in the CWL. The game will be a six-inning affair, with the starting pitchers being named by the league Commish a week earlier.

2008 Home Run Derby
The 2008 home run derby will feature the top three home runs hitters from each division. Each hitter is given 10 outs in the first round, and the top three in home runs advance to the second round, where the outs are reduced from 10 to five. The top two hitters after two rounds will then advance to a five-out final round to crown a derby champion. All home runs from the first round carry over to the second round.

2008 Rookies Game
In 2007 the CWL held a "Yellow Bat" game for any player not named to the all-star team to participate in. This season the CWL plans to hold a rookies game for all the league rookies, not named all-stars, to participate in. Like the actual all-star game, the rookies game will be an American League versus National League battle, in either a 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 game.

Year-End Cookout and Awards Ceremony
After all the all-star events are concluded, the players will then get together for a cookout to celebrate the end of the season. During the cookout the Commish will name the individual award winners and hand out the championship trophy to the winning team.
