GRIFFITH TO SMOKE, RUE TO TNT

Daniel Griffith, one of the league's newest players, has joined Smoke, taking the place of Joey Rue, who has been moved to TNT.

Griffith was picked up by team captain J.D. Cannon to add pitching depth to Smoke, which is need of more arms. Griffith will be relied upon to possibly be the team's number two or three starter.

Last season Griffith only played in two games, but hit better than he pitched in those two games. Despite his poor outing last season, most scouts believe Griffith can be a quality arm in Smoke's rotation.

Joey Rue, originally with Smoke, was moved to TNT to finalize TNT's need of a fourth player. TNT, heavier on pitching than hitting, are in need of another solid bat to add to their lineup, and Rue helps to fill that gap.
